Eco-Schools Programme

What is the Eco-Schools Programme?
Our school is proud to be part of the international Eco-Schools programme — a global initiative that empowers students to make their school and community more sustainable.
Founded in 1994 and now operating in over 70 countries worldwide, Eco-Schools provides a structured framework that guides schools through a seven-step process to improve environmental awareness, action, and leadership. The programme places students at the heart of decision-making and encourages real, measurable environmental change.
Through Eco-Schools, our students develop:
- Environmental awareness
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Responsibility for their local and global environment
- Practical problem-solving abilities
The Green Flag Award

The Green Flag Award is the highest recognition awarded by the Eco-Schools programme. It recognises schools that have successfully completed the seven-step process and demonstrated excellence in environmental action and education.
We are proud to have been awarded the Green Flag for 2024–2025. This achievement reflects the hard work, creativity, and commitment of our students, staff, and wider school community.
The Green Flag is renewed annually, and we are committed to continuously improving and building on our environmental work each year.
